Education and Nature Play
Orterra specialises in helping schools bring nature play into their school environment. Every school who wants to incorporate nature play into their school curriculum and grounds goes through a process of design, education and implementation. Orterra specialises in helping schools not only look at their school grounds and ensure they use the grounds to take advantage of their environments for nature play. But we are here to help assist schools where they need with the support to successfully start and implement nature play into the school pedagogy.
Our process is individualised to each school.
We start by working through why, how and where nature play fits with your school. We then work through with your staff, students, and community to plan and show the possibilities of what and how nature play could look like in your school.
This could include organising nature play workshops for teachers, discussing and working through ground supervision issues. Looking at maintenance and policies needed to implement nature play. Then assisting in reviewing and prioritising key projects needed to implement the changes into the school.
Each school has different challenges and requirements and our goal is to provide the help you need to successful bring nature play to your students.
