Orterra was excited to work with Surat Early Childhood Education Centre (SECEC) to assist with renovating their playground and creating a more nature play-based space for the centre’s playground. We worked with staff and council representatives to create the vision for the centre’s future space for children to grow and explore
This consultation and analysis of the site led to the concept to provide spaces to run, create and rest. The centre wanted to maximise the children’s time outside all year around. The design introduces many large trees and gardens through the playground. There will be spaces for outdoor learning, loose parts play, water and digging, creating and exploring.
