Orterra creates bespoke workshops and information sessions. These are designed to help inform and educate on various topics including nature play, loose parts play, site analysis, and planting.
We recently did a workshop with C&K Queensland (Children & Kindergarten Queensland). This was in conjunction with Nature Play Queensland and the Seven Senses Foundation. Its aim was to assist administrative staff and managers in creating or renovating their outdoor play spaces. We love making sure that there is a hands-on component to any teaching. So we took the attendees outside to some local kindies. We explored some spaces and saw some examples of great play spaces. These were great in allowing discussion about the learnings of theory we had discussed. And saw first hand what can make a great play space. While identifying what could be improved.
