After many years in service, this kindergarten playground was due for a redesign. The process started with a series of consultations with the children, teachers, and parents. This information used to develop an engaging and active outdoor play environment.
The design based on nature and loose parts play. The design includes representations of local indigenous culture. The school’s Christian values, nature play, and David Thornburs archetypal learning spaces. These combine to provide flexible play spaces.
