This bikeway upgrade project was part of Ipswich City Council’s largest road upgrade project to date. The project involves expanding roads from two to four to support the ever-growing population in Springfield. Our work was to work with the multidisciplinary team to create a roadway.
The planting design for this bikeway was to ensure shade and ease of use for pedestrians and cyclists. A key element of the design was to respect the existing character of the area and integrate the new bikeway seamlessly into the existing context of Springwood. The planting palette was chosen to provide benefits to local fauna.
